Transcriptomic Analysis Reveals Regulatory Networks for Osmotic Water Stress and Rewatering Response in the Leaves of Ginkgo biloba

To elucidate the transcriptomic regulation mechanisms that underlie response of Ginkgo biloba to dehydration and rehydration, we used ginkgo saplings exposed osmotically driven water stress subsequent rewatering. When compared with a control group, 137, 1453, 1148, 679 genes were differentially expressed in leaves responding 2, 6, 12, 24 h deficit, 796 1530 48 Upregulated participated biosynthesis abscisic acid, eliminating reactive oxygen species (ROS), flavonoids bilobalide, downregulated involved transport cell wall enlargement stress-treated leaves. Under rehydration conditions, associated upregulated, ROS bilobalide G. biloba. Furthermore, weighted gene coexpression networks established correlated distinct rewatering time-point samples.
